Our Story
Our tale begins with a friendship as sweet as a double-dipped cone on a summer day. Dustin and Duke, lifelong pals bonded by a love for all things sweet, united to bring a fresh touch of magic to New Cumberland’s ice cream haven.

Dustin LeBlanc
“It’s ice cream o’ clock somewhere.”
Hand-dipped or soft serve? Hand-dipped
Cone or dish? Waffle Cone
Favorite flavor? Anything with peanut butter
Favorite 50s icon? Faye LeBlanc. But, if I must answer with a celebrity icon, I’d go to my musical theatre roots and say Gene Kelly!
What goes best with ice cream? A cookie on top and bottom.
Best ice cream memory? We would spend a few weeks in New Hampshire every summer visiting family, and I would always look forward to going to a place called Hodgies. They had the most gigantic sizes, and the smallest (which was a regular large) was called a quarter-kiddie. The largest size was bigger than my head!

Duke Slifko
“Ice cream solves everything.”
Hand-dipped or soft serve? I like soft-serve because I like the crunch of any toppings versus the smooth texture.
Cone or dish? Cone. And more specifically, waffle cones. I love any kind of ice cream when it is in a waffle cone.
Favorite flavor? It’s a toss up. I’m a sucker for a good chocolate ice cream, but mint chocolate chip has always jockeyed for first place, as well.
Favorite 50s icon? Rock Hudson. Not only was he a movie star, but he had great taste in fashion. My mom raised me on Rock Hudson and Doris Day’s romantic comedies and McMillian & Wife, one of her favorite shows from the 1970s.
What goes best with ice cream? Summer. There is something about a summer evening that makes me want to eat ice cream. Maybe it’s the nostalgia? Or the contrast of cool and warm? Or just the way ice cream allows me to escape for a mini vacation in my day.
Best ice cream memory? Every time I had a good report card growing up, my parents would take me to get ice cream. I was a great student in school so it was a guaranteed trip to the ice cream shop on a regular basis.
Who’s Faye?
Faye’s Ice Cream Parlor is named after Dustin’s mother, Faye, who hails from the 1950s in Brighton Beach, NY. Faye is well known by friends and loved ones for her fondness for creating mouth-watering desserts and instilling a deep love for ice cream in Dustin.
